We showed our “Motorsports” themed activities – A Motorcycle for the Ride For The Breath Of Life, a stock car for the PASCAR racing organization that is reviving the Souris Stock Car Track, and the Hot Rod Grill BBQ we are selling raffle tickets on.

Brandon Scrapbookers Convention 2014

The Kinsmen Club of Brandon was pleased to partner with the Brandon Scrapbookers at their recent convention. The event was held at the UCT Pavilion, Keystone Centre, on May 2-3, 2014. The Kinsmen provided volunteer labour to help out with their event. In return, the Brandon Scrapbookers have made a very generous donation back to the club. This contribution will go a long way towards Serving The Community’s Greatest Need. Please check them out at their website. We thank them for running a fun convention and giving our club the opportunity to serve. We wish them well on next year’s event.

Win a Hot Rod Grills BBQ

The Kinsmen Club of Brandon is raffling a Hot Rod Grill in the summer of 2014. The Hot Rod Grill is a propane BBQ designed and built to resemble a small block engine. The smoke even comes out of the exhaust! It would look great on the patio of any gear head or motor sports enthusiast.

The Kinsmen are selling tickets 3 for $5 at numerous events around Brandon and area. Come see us at the Shoppers Mall, Ride For The Breath Of Life, Travelers Day Parade, Cruisin the Dub, and PASCAR events at the Souris Stock Car Track. All the dates are posted on our events calendar on this web site. Come visit us!

The draw will be held September 4, 2014, at the final Cruisin the Dub of the season.

Kinsmen Texas Holdem at the Double Decker

The Kinsmen Club of Brandon hosted our first charity Texas Holdem tournament on May 17, 2014. We would like to thank all the players who came out and contributed to our worthy cause. We received a lot of good feedback that it was a fun event and the players would come back when we do it again.

The Double Decker Tavern provided a fine venue. Also thanks to all the volunteers who helped deal and supervise the poker, and to the Kinsmen Club of The Pas for lending us their chips.
