Day of Kindness Flamingo Flocks

Flock of plastic flamingos

Watch for flamingos around Brandon in the week of Feb. 14-19, 2022.

To celebrate Kin Canada’s Day of KINdness (Saturday, Feb. 19th, 2022), the Kinsmen Club of Brandon will be setting up flocks of bright pink flamingos at City Hall, the police station, the fire hall, selected long-term care facilities, and the hospital.

The flamingos bring a welcome pop of colour to a wintry white landscape, and they are meant as a “Thank you” to Brandon’s first responders and other people who have been hard at work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The flocks are also available to celebrate your special day! For more information on how to “flock” a friend for their birthday, graduation, retirement, or just because, please email flockmasterj@brandonkin.ca.

2015 Brandon Santa Claus Parade

The Brandon Kinsmen entered our float in the Santa Claus Parade. This year we had the Delorean Time Machine tribute car, the Mystery Machine tribute van, and one of the PASCAR race cars. The kids loved seeing Scooby and we also had some nice comments about the Delorean. We were pleased it went over well. Kudos to all the other floats and thanks to the organizers, it went smoothly as always.

Brandon Kin Museum Exhibit

Opening on Saturday, May 30, the Kinsmen and Kinette Clubs of Brandon have been featured in a new exhibit at the Brandon General Museum and Archives – Web Site http://www.bgma.ca/

We were pleased when the museum approached us to produce an exhibit to highlight the important contributions we have made to the Brandon community in our 90 year history. The museum staff were great to work with as we selected artifacts from our club to loan for the exhibit.

The exhibit will run through the summer of 2015, intending to coincide with the Brandon Kin hosting the Kin Canada National Kinvention in August. The public is invited to view the exhibit during normal opening hours:
