PASCAR Test and Tune September 14
Posted: September 10, 2014 Filed under: Projects Leave a comment »For all those who want to see “Behind the Scenes” at a race track, come out to the Souris Race Park on Sunday September 14, 2014. PASCAR will be holding another “Test and Tune” day. This is an opportunity for our racers to bring their cars out to the track and run some practice laps and try new setups without it being public race conditions. This event is not open to the public and there will be no spectator services. Everyone on the property will be required to sign a waiver of liability. However if you want to see a race car up close, are interested to see what goes in to building our class of cars, or would just like more information, please come see us on Sunday.

PASCAR Racing postponed to Sept. 7, 2014
Posted: August 24, 2014 Filed under: Projects Leave a comment »PASCAR had scheduled a race day on Aug 24, 2014. That has been postponed to Sept. 7, 2014.
After this morning’s inspection of the track and grounds, our operations personnel determined there was too much standing water for safe racing and spectator access to the site.
Here are our revised fall dates:
- September 7 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm
- September 28 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm
- October 19 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm – for our last race of the season we hope to offer a 150 lap enduro race.

PASCAR – Extended Fall 2014 Race Schedule

The early season weather in Southwestern Manitoba did not cooperate with our racing plans. We have added two dates in the fall with hopes the conditions will be more favorable. All events are at the Souris Raceway. Take Hwy #2 to Souris and go north on Rd. 121 West. Spectator entrance is the second driveway to the north, with the south entrance restricted to racers/pit access only.

Some additional site improvements were also done in preparation for the opening day races scheduled for July 27, 2014.

Souris Stock Car Races – June 22nd – CANCELLED

PASCAR (the Prairie Association of Stock Car Auto Racing) has had to postpone the inaugural race day (June 22 – Sunday) at the Souris Stock Car Track because of extremely wet conditions at the track and site.

2014 Ride For The Breath Of Life
Posted: June 15, 2014 Filed under: Projects Leave a comment »On June 14, 2014, the Kinsmen Club of Brandon hosted the “Ride For The Breath Of Life” Motorcycle and Classic Car Ride.
The Ride for the Breath of Life is an annual national motor sports fundraiser in support of Canadians with cystic fibrosis held in locations across Canada.
This year, Mother Nature was not on our side, but the 14 riders who braved the weather supported a great cause. We thank all the riders, volunteers, and everyone who came by to see what we were all about.
Brandt Bessant receives the prize for Best Poker Hand from James Sewell, President, Kinsmen Club of Brandon. Brandt also won the Show and Shine Best Car prize.
