PASCAR had scheduled a race day on Aug 24, 2014. That has been postponed to Sept. 7, 2014.
After this morning’s inspection of the track and grounds, our operations personnel determined there was too much standing water for safe racing and spectator access to the site.
Here are our revised fall dates:
- September 7 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm
- September 28 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm
- October 19 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm – for our last race of the season we hope to offer a 150 lap enduro race.

PASCAR Inc. is proud to announce that we have added two more race days to the 2014 schedule. The early season weather in Southwestern Manitoba did not cooperate with our racing plans. We have added two dates in the fall with hopes the conditions will be more favorable. All events are at the Souris Raceway. Take Hwy #2 to Souris and go north on Rd. 121 West. Spectator entrance is the second driveway to the north, with the south entrance restricted to racers/pit access only.
September 28 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm
October 19 – gates open 12:00 noon, racing at 1:00 pm – for our last race of the season we hope to offer a 150 lap enduro race.
PASCAR Inc. had another successful test and tune on July 13th, 2014.
Some additional site improvements were also done in preparation for the opening day races scheduled for July 27, 2014.
Anyone interested in participating as a racer or support worker is encouraged to contact PASCAR Inc., a registered non-profit volunteer based organization, to become part of the launch of motorsports and education through motorsports in the South Western Manitoba!!

PASCAR (the Prairie Association of Stock Car Auto Racing) has had to postpone the inaugural race day (June 22 – Sunday) at the Souris Stock Car Track because of extremely wet conditions at the track and site.
Please share this information with your listeners/viewers/readers and encourage them to watch the local media and check the PASCAR or Brandon Kinsmen websites and Facebook pages for race dates and rescheduled events.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

On June 14, 2014, the Kinsmen Club of Brandon hosted the “Ride For The Breath Of Life” Motorcycle and Classic Car Ride.
The Ride for the Breath of Life is an annual national motor sports fundraiser in support of Canadians with cystic fibrosis held in locations across Canada.
This year, Mother Nature was not on our side, but the 14 riders who braved the weather supported a great cause. We thank all the riders, volunteers, and everyone who came by to see what we were all about.
The Kinsmen Club of Brandon was in the 2014 Travelers Day parade. We showed our “Motorsports” themed activities – A Motorcycle for the Ride For The Breath Of Life, a stock car for the PASCAR racing organization that is reviving the Souris Stock Car Track, and the Hot Rod Grill BBQ we are selling raffle tickets on.
Here’s some photos of our entry under cconstruction:
Thanks to all the volunteers and organizers who put the event on. See you next year!
For the second year the Brandon Kinsmen entered our Soap Box car in the Brandon Kiwanis Kar Derby. It was driven by Kin Kid Adam.

Thanks to the Kiwanis and volunteers for putting on the event.
The Kinsmen Club of Brandon was pleased to partner with the Brandon Scrapbookers at their recent convention. The event was held at the UCT Pavilion, Keystone Centre, on May 2-3, 2014. The Kinsmen provided volunteer labour to help out with their event. In return, the Brandon Scrapbookers have made a very generous donation back to the club. This contribution will go a long way towards Serving The Community’s Greatest Need. Please check them out at their website. We thank them for running a fun convention and giving our club the opportunity to serve. We wish them well on next year’s event.
